I specifically remember telling myself that I wasn’t going to do a holiday gift guide this year. In all honesty, I think they’re a bit overdone, and I don’t think people are wanting them as much as they’re being put out there sometimes. But hey. Whatever.
So.. I was sitting here thinking about my own Christmas shopping list, and I thought.. gee, wouldn’t it be helpful if I had a guide I could reference for the majority of the presents I’ll be buying this year? (And all the bloggers said “told ya so!”) I live in a house full of people obsessed with fitness and sports. So chances are good that my hard earned money this year will be going to all things fitness-related. Which leads me to this blog post 😉
I’ve put together what I consider to be some pretty kick-ass gift ideas for the fitness fanatics in your life. Happy shopping! And don’t forget to comment with all the amazing sales and items you find! Don’t leave me hanging while I shop!
Garmin Fenix S5 Why I love it:
Chad bought me a Garmin Fenix S5 last year for Christmas and I haven’t taken it off since. (Well, I mean obviously I’ve taken it off but you know what I mean). This watch is great if you’re wanting to get serious about tracking your mileage, pace, and all things related to running. It’s helped me tremendously this entire past year, and even helped me train for my first half marathon.
FitBit Versa Why I love it:
Before switching over to my Garmin, I always wore a FitBit Blaze, and wanted to upgrade to the Versa. I don’t have one yet, but it’s definitely on my list to Santa. I love the Versa because it’s similar in appearance, and from what I understand, functionality to an Apple Watch. It tracks your daily steps, calories burned, sleep, and more, and I believe you can get notifications from your phone to the watch (at least with my Blaze I could). I’d love to have this watch in addition to my Garmin to better track my other workouts and only track running with my Garmin.
Stella & Dot Crush it Duffle Bag Why I love it:
I love this bag because I love all things olive, the strap reminds me of Gucci, and it’s the perfect size for toting your must-have gym bag essentials. Plus it’s super cute, and you can utilize this bag for pretty much anything. It even would make a great carry-on bag when you travel.
Maven Thread Warm Headbands Why I love them:
I have a set of these headbands/ear warmers from Maven Thread and I love them when I need or want to run outside during the colder months. They add an extra layer of warmth over my ears, and they even fit great underneath a winter hat if you’re wanting to double up on the warmth. Plus the patterns and colors are always so cute. If you’re not into a warm weather headband, still check them out because they also sell regular headbands as well.
Daily Greatness Training Journal Why I love it:
I love my fitness journal from Daily Greatness because it helps keep me on track for the goals I really want to focus on. These journals are cute, high quality, and I love that they come unnumbered, so you can literally choose when you want to start and how often you want to log your data.
Alo High Waist Moto Leggings Why I love them:
Yep, I’m sharing these again this year because they’re that dang good. Still my favorite pair of leggings I think I’ve ever owned, these were majorly on sale last time I checked, so if you’ve been contemplating snagging a pair, now may be the time! High waist, super comfortable, and flattering (think – booty goals!) you won’t be disappointed in your new favorite pair of leggings. I wear mine to the gym, and also dress them up a little when I have other places to go.
Free People Joggers Why I love them:
I love these because I love joggers, first of all, and I love the color options that these Free People Joggers come in. Wear them to the gym, at home while you’re catching up on Netflix, or dress it up slightly for the perfect athleisure look.
Sweaty Betty Running Gloves Why I love them:
Just like the headbands, these are perfect for anyone wanting to run outside during the colder months. That treadmill gets boring, guys, and you can only run around the track at your local YMCA so many times (about 90 before you go insane, I know from experience). Dress warm and hit the pavement in these warm and cute running gloves.
Nike Revolution 5 Running Shoes Why I love them:
When I run, I swear by Saucony, because of the shape and stride of my feet. I’m a firm believer that if you’re going to be running, you should have your feet analyzed to find the best brand and fit of shoes for you. But, it doesn’t hurt to have a few cute pairs of “running around” shoes. My “running around” shoes are ones that I don’t exercise or run in, but that I wear when I’m out running errands, picking up Coop from school, etc.
Reebok Nanos Why I love them:
I recently made the switch from Nike Metcons to Reebok Nanos for CrossFit and I’m so happy I did. I love these because they’re actually comfortable and don’t feel like I’m walking around on plastic (sorry, Metcons).
Lululemon Align Pant Why I love them:
What girl doesn’t love activewear from Lululemon? I own my own brand and I still love me some Lulu! These Align pants are great because not only are they comfortable, but they’re high waist and perfect for more than just yoga. Bonus? They come in a camo print! And we all know camo makes everything better.
Lululemon Scuba Pullover Why I love it:
Everyone needs a good pullover that they can wear for comfort, and to and from the gym. This Scuba Pullover is a great option because not only is it cute (hello, another Camo option!) but it’s breathable, loose, and super comfy.
Peach Bands Ab Discs Why I love them:
These may not seem like much, until you use them. They’re great for when you’re bored at home and know you should be working on your goals – at least during the commercial breaks. Great for killer ab and core workouts that you can literally do anywhere.
Theragun Why he’ll love it:
This would make a great gift for ANY fit person in your life. Theraguns are great for the extreme athlete who is looking to get rid of leftover muscle tightens and soreness. I’ve used these post CrossFit workouts and post hard runs. This gift will make dad super happy this year, I promise.
Adjustable Weight Bench Why he’ll love it:
I got Chad one of these a couple Christmases ago and he still talks about how it’s his favorite gift. An adjustable weight bench is the perfect gift for any guy wanting to get an extra pump in without having to head to the gym.
Weight Rack Why he’ll love it:
Our home gym is a mess. Weights and accessories literally everywhere. This makes a great gift because it’ll make him happy, while simultaneously making you happy because you can organize your weight room (and I’m totally talking to myself).
Lululemon Engineered Warmth Jacket Why I love it:
Dads like to be stylish in their activewear, too 😉
Lululemon At Ease Jogger Why he’ll love them:
Same reason as above. These pants are super comfy, super functional, and look good. Dad will be happy.
Rogue Speed Jump Rope Why he’ll love it:
Help dad continue his training at home. I love this rope because it’s from a great brand, and it’s small which makes it easy to store! Rogue’s speed ropes will help dad master those double unders in no time.
Resistance Bands Why he’ll love them:
Resistance bands are great for getting in extra accessory work, and just like the jump rope, these bands are easy to store.
Earbuds Why he’ll love them:
These wireless earbuds are a great option for the runners and weightlifters in your life. Designed with a comfortable fit, syncs perfectly with most smartphones, and you can control the volume, songs, and answer phone calls all from the buds themselves. Plus the bass in these is pretty good, which is sometimes hard to find when it comes to earbuds.
Box Why he’ll love it:
Complete dad’s garage gym with this set of boxes! Perfect for practicing those box jumps and other workouts, dad will be so happy you tailored his Christmas presents to fit his wants this year! Home gym: complete.
YoYo Fit Slim Kids Fitness Tracker Why I love it:
Coop is obsessed with knowing his steps. He loves seeing how high his number can go each day, and it gives him something fun and healthy to focus on. He’s always competing with me and Chad to see who can get the most steps in. We had bought him a kid’s Garmin watch a few years back that worked great, but I figure why spend the money when you can get one for under $30 on Amazon? Coop is notorious for losing or breaking his stuff, so I figure this one is a win for all!
WODDice Kids Why I love it:
I bought this gift for Coop last year for Christmas, and while he did love it – I have to admit he lost the set. Oh well. They were fun and beneficial while they lasted!
Agility Ladder Why I love it:
We set up our agility ladder in the basement and it provides fun for hours, seriously. Coop will follow guided agility workouts, and sometimes he’ll just play around and come up with his own. But he loves that dang thing, and anything that gets him away from his iPad and moving around is okay in my book.
Fitivities Game Why I love it:
What’s more fun than playing board games as a family? Answer: making that board game a fitness activity! I love when we come up with ways to stay active, moving, and have fun at the same time. This game is sure to check off all those boxes!
RDX Kids Heavy Punching Bag Why I love it:
It teaches a new sport, it gets kiddos active, and it’s a great way to take out stress, anxiety, and encourage movement. Plus, it’s pretty dang fun.
