It’s no secret to anyone who knows me, or passes me in a grocery store or bakery, that I have a gigantic sweet tooth. I never used to be this way until I got pregnant (thanks a lot, Chad). That’s why this Sambazon Acai Bowl recipe is a true lifesaver when my sweet tooth starts rearing its ugly head (because it’s so much healthier than grabbing ALL THE CANDY that I typically gravitate toward!)
Smoothie bowls are super popular, but you have to be somewhat aware of how you’re making them. Adding TOO MANY toppings can result in a high calorie, high sugar treat that’s really no different than having a bowl of your favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
But, when you focus on adding healthy ingredients to your smoothie bowl, they can be a great, healthy addition to your flexible dieting lifestyle.
You may have seen this recipe before on my Instagram page or my coaching group because I make it a LOT, but if not, no worries because I’m sharing it with you below!
Since the weather is warming up and ice cream is on the brain, this is a good alternative. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 Sambazon acai frozen pack
- 1 tbsp nut butter (or save your macros and opt for Pb powder instead)
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I like Sculpt Nation)
- Ice to blend (I never measure)
- 1/8 cup blueberries
- 1/4 cup strawberries
- 1/2 banana
- 1/4 cup granola
Blend all ingredients (except banana, berries, and granola) until smooth. Top with yummy toppings and enjoy!
