It never fails; spring rolls around and I clean out our house, and once finished, I order more things to take up the space that for about 4 days looked so amazingly clean and organized. Anyone else guilty?
If you’re not – you’re about to be, because I’ve put together the five items I’m currently obsessing over this month. The best part is, they’re all under $30 (with one exception), so definitely splurge-worthy without the guilt!
What I’m Currently Obsessed With This Month
Blue Light Blocking Glasses
I ordered these babies from Amazon because I’ve noticed that spending all day staring at my laptop screen or my phone screen is causing some serious eye fatigue. Think: dry, itchy eyes, blurry vision, and sometimes sparks of bright light. Not to mention headaches and occasional fogginess. I’ve seen so many people talking about blue-light blocking glasses that I figured it wouldn’t hurt to give them a try.
The best part is these adorable glasses are super trendy, and come in 9 different colors/styles. Plus, they’re only $16.99!
I personally have the clear as seen above, but I’ve been keeping my eye on these adorable Leopard Print ones as my next order!
Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Snakeskin Bikini
Only not really. What I love about this new swimsuit is that it’s not so teeny weeny, meaning that I can wear it with confidence at the pool all summer long! I’m absolutely obsessed with the snakeskin print, but to be honest, this hot little number comes in over 30 different colors/styles/patterns, and you can even mix and match tops + bottoms to get even more bang for your buck. LOVE IT! An entire set is only $22.99! I ordered a medium, for reference.
Like I said, this pretty swimmie comes in over 30 different styles, patterns, and colors, but here are three more options that I’m loving!
T3 Single Pass Curl
I like to think that I started the beach wave trend. No joke. Like ten years ago, I was the only person I knew walking around every single day with beach waves. Me and good ole’ Jennifer Nettles (okay, truth be told she’s probably the one who started the trend, but whatever). I always used to achieve this look with my handy dandy hair straightener, but I’m feeling that after 10 years, maybe it’s time for a change.
I ordered this pretty little T3 Single Pass Curling Iron and so far, I’m in love. Granted, what used to take me 5 minutes now takes 10, but I’m sure once I get used to the motion of a new wand, I’ll be good as rose gold!
It wouldn’t be summer without a brand new pair of sandals, right? I love a good pair of sandals that can transition from casual to a little trendier all depending how you style them, and these platform sandals are no exception! I can’t wait to pull out my favorite shorts, tanks, and bags and wear these around the QCA! These gems are $27.99!
May is Melanoma Month, and the perfect time to schedule your annual skin check. Little known fact: I spent the majority of my twenties inside a tanning bed. Something I regret every single day. I even have the scars to prove it – time in a tanning bed has resulted in multiple skin biopsies and scares now that I’m in my 30’s. Some of those biopsies have come back normal, some have come back showing pre-cancerous cells. I don’t take this lightly, and wish that I could shake some sense into my younger self. But.. there’s not a lot you can do about past regrets except learn form them and make better choices moving forward, right?
That’s why I’m such a fan of sunless tanning. Spray tans and self tanner are the way to go, and I’m loving my new Norvell Vivid Boost. I use this after I get a spray tan, and after I apply self tanner to help keep my sunless tan looking fresh and natural longer. Norvell even has their own self tanner and at home spray tanning kits you can buy, and their solution is used in a lot of the top name tanning salons around the country!
